As we all look for creative solutions for dealing more effectively with the waste we produce, improve the efficiency of the equipment we already have and cutting costs, doing some very simple things can make quite a difference.

It doesn’t take much effort to make sure you get the correct HP replacement ink cartridge and reuse and/or recycle paper but both can make significant improvements in what happens to our environment.

When thinking about how to improve the environment, the first thing to achieve is the reduction of waste. Start by putting in place a bin for paper to be recycled and others for recycling consumables, beverage cans, glass and plastics. Most local authorities will accept small amounts of these recyclable wastes. Some waste, aluminium cans for instance, is valuable enough to sell if you have sufficient quantities.

Reusing the unprinted side of the paper for either scrap paper or printing drafts etc. gives you two bites at the cherry. There are several ways of reusing this well-used paper afterwards, for example, the paper can be shredded and used in the compost bin, as animals bedding for horses, dogs or cats (animal shelters often need shredded paper), compressing and making into “logs”, lining trenches for planting potatoes (makes digging the potatoes much easier!), art projects, even paper/cement bricks for building eco-friendly dwellings.

Other ways to cut down on the amount of HP ink used is to set the printer on draft mode or print in black rather than using colour for non-essential print jobs. And, don’t print everything you download, read it from the computer screen instead and print only that which you absolutely need.

Buying recycled products – paper, folders, pencils etc. – for use in your office is another way to improve your carbon footprint. Also consider buying previously owned equipment and furniture rather than always buying new.

You might even think about refilling your empty ink cartridges. HP ink cartridges have print heads that are an integral part of the cartridge and these are designed to work for the length of time that the ink lasts. Therefore refilling can be done only once or twice without a reduction in print quality.

HP is making it easier to recycle your empty HP ink cartridges by inserting an envelope in new cartridge packaging so that you can send the empties to Hewlett Packard and they will responsibly recycle all that they receive. Alternatively you could give your empty ink cartridges to a charities for them to benefit by selling the empties to companies that refill them.

Making a few changes can make your office more efficient as well as more eco-friendly. Adjusting your purchasing practices, reducing waste in the first place and responsible waste disposal with recycling as much as possible, can make a significant contribution to improving the environment and saving you money.

Hewlett Packard (HP) ink cartridges, for over a decade in the ink cartridge market, have always set the standard for quality, economy and durability.

By using HP ink , you get the advantages of quality printouts and lots of prints per cartridge. When you compare the number of prints you get with HP to other brands, HP will almost always give you more.

Consider your printing needs when deciding on the replacement printer cartridge options that HP gives you. Choose the one that gives the best value for the way you use your printer. HP ink cartridges now come in colour-coded packages so you always know what you are getting and what you will be paying:

Blue is the standard capacity cartridge for those who only print occasionally.
Green means this is the high capacity cartridge for those who do lots of printing.
Red is the ink cartridge for specialty photos requiring the highest photo quality.

Regardless of which printer you have, all of the cartridges should work interchangeably but do check your printer model to make sure it supports the cartridge option you’ve chosen.

To get the most from whichever cartridge you use and to reduce the amount of ink used for each print job, check the settings within print mode (usually found in the printer dialogue box under properties or options) and change to draft mode, greyscale or black only. The quality will be slightly lower but if the prints are for in-house use only and don’t need to be of particularly high quality, save money instead.

HP ink cartridges can often be used in a number of printer models and the yields you get from a specific cartridge will vary from one printer to the next, although real differences are minimal. The yields listed are based on the first printer to use that cartridge and the yields listed on the package may be different from what your printer does. Quality and yield will also depend on the paper used but using original HP ink will almost always guarantee you excellent results.

HP uses advanced ink formulations and the technology that ensure you get a new print head every time you install a new Hewlett Packard ink cartridge. Unlike many other brands of cartridge, HP maintains its quality by incorporating a new print head into each cartridge. Other brands of printer have the print heads as part of the printer and they wear with use which reduces the quality of the print.

By replacing the print head each time, print quality is maintained. Because of this innovation, the replacement cartridge is more expensive but then the cost of replacing the print head on other printers can take your breath away!

By 2009, 160 million hp ink cartridges have been returned and recycled by this planet friendly company. These would fill 285 standard freight containers. Not only are users of HP products very happy with the quality and durability, they are ecstatic than since 1991 this company recognized the negative impact progress is having on the planet. HP has gone green and is working hard to reduce their carbon footprint. Although hp is just part of this eco-friendly plan, this is where consumers can help this environmental friendly company the most. By purchasing genuine HP replacement cartridges, people save money and reduce pollution.

HP products are especially designed to work together. Not only are thousands of hours invested in designing machines to meet today’s and tomorrow’s demand for perfection, the same amount of dedication and effort is used for all the components. Using brand name replacement toner, cartridges and paper creates the best printing results while increasing the life of electronic devices. This hp ink is specially formulated to work with HP products. Each hp ink cartridge is put in a new container specially manufactured for the unit it will be used to. Over time these components wear out affecting the way they operate. When a replacement hp ink cartridge is purchased, the buyer has no idea how many different times it has been refilled or used.

The problems with cheap refills and reused hp ink packages are many and diverse. Residue from old printing ink builds up inside and can clog the microscopic nozzles that regulate the printing. This causes the unit to quit working altogether or reduces ink flow creating unsatisfactory results. As the quality of the printing changes the user cannot easily determine if it is a mechanical problem with the machine or the printing mechanism. Many times these leak, hopefully before they are placed in the machine. Cleaning up a puddle of hp ink takes time and may result in lasting stains. As one in three failed to work as soon as they were refilled, the failure rate is high. Often the cartridge stops printing while it still contains black liquid wasting money and product.

Money goes further when genuine hp ink is used as each cartridge will print as much as 65% more than cheap imitations. High-capacity black cartridges can print up to 65% more pages per unit. Another way to save money is by buying multiple packs; the discount can be as much as 10%. Quality pays while cheap knockoffs cost in cold hard cash, quality of printed matter and a shortened machine life.
Dealing with printer ink can be a hassle, Online Printing services is convenient for important projects.
Find quality laser printers and all in one printer online at Brother.co.uk

When you stick to a couple of very simple instructions, you can refill your laser cartridges and help you save a lot of money! Even though each cartridge type will have some of its’ own specific directions, most refills are achieved with a couple of typical steps. The very first thing you want to do; however is choose a good, comfortable location to complete your refill. Nearly all toner is combustible so you want to make sure you are far from all open flame or ignition source. Be sure to turn off any fans that may be operating, or close the windows. The toner power is so light and fine that the slightest air motion will disrupt it. Finally, a little personalized protective apparel is required. Wear your gloves and even a mask to prevent from inhaling any of the fine particles.

The first thing you’ll want to do is to see whether your laser cartridge features a refill hole. The majority of of the refill kits you purchase can provide this information. If a hole is required, review the paperwork and determine the hole location. Use the tool that was included with your kit and burn the opening into the laser cartridge. Make sure you keep these tools as you can use them over and over again. The next time you refill you will only need to purchase the toner.

Once the hole has been made it’s time for you to place the toner into the cartridge. Most kits will come with a funnel that screws onto the toner package. Attach the funnel, insert it in to the hole and delicately tap on the bottle to let the toner to fall into the cartridge. Don’t shake the bottle as this could make a spill. You should be able to get the whole bottle into the cartridge. After the laser cartridge is filled, take out the bottle and toss. It’s wise to put the bottle inside a small plastic bag so you don’t soil your garbage can. Now it’s simply a matter of plugging the hole. Merely replace the plastic cap, if there was one, or make use of the furnished aluminum tape.

The last step just before reinserting the cartridge in to the machine is to replace the chip, if there is one. This is often executed in lots of ways based upon the type of laser cartridge, mostly you will just be able to plug it in.

There you have it! Position the cartridge in the machine and run a check print or two. If all went in accordance to plan you should have a fantastic running cartridge that just saved you big money! You should be able to repeat this process three to five times prior to the physical part of the cartridge wearing out.

Soon there will be over 350 million used laser cartridges are dumped each and every year? That’s 350 million cartridges resting in trash dumps around the world each and every year. Considering that thoseplastic parts take at least five centuries to break down, those cartridges will be polluting our lands for generations in the future. When you also think about the fact that residual toner left in these laser cartridges also pollutes the environment then I’m sure you will realize that recycling is important. However it takes more than sending in your cartridge to become recycled, you also have to acquire and use recycled laser cartridges to keep that marketplace going. And if all of that does not convince you, then think about this? Turning in then acquiring recycled laser cartridges can help you save roughly 50% of the expense of new cartridges sold through the original equipment manufacturers!.

There are 2 basic ways you can recycle your laser cartridge. One of many ways is to refill it yourself. You can do this by investing in a kit which has the replacement toner most likely some disposal gloves and also a bag to shake out and dump the remaining toner. For some cartridges you may also have to purchase a chip plus a tool kit that burns a hole into the laser cartridge for you to pour the toner into. It isn’t as challenging as it appears and you will save probably the most amount of cash recycling in this way. Since you’re not replacing any of the moving parts, it is possible to only perform about 4 – 7 refills before the cartridge wears out. The other recycling method is to use a recycling company that will take in your old cartridge for a credit and then even sell you a recently re-manufactured laser cartridge.

Not every used laser printer toner cartridges can be recycled and there are a few limitations in regards to what cartridge your recycler will accept. Most firms will never accept broken cartridges or cartridges with missing parts. Inspect your cartridge closely before sending it in to be sure that you have no cracks in the casing and that there’s no toner seeping out all over the place. Additionally , you will will need to check with your retailer to find out whether they accept non OEM cartridges. Some only admit used cartridges created by the Original Equipment Manufacturer, OEM

You can also help your local charitable organizations by setting up a unique account together with your recycler. Many recyclers have charitable programs available. This can be a great program for youth groups like the Boy or Girl Scouts who are attempting to train their associates how to do neighborhood service work.

Supplying toner for my laser multi functional printer looks like it’s a never-ending task. For this reason, I made it a personal mission of mine to lessen the money I devote to toner. I had to do something to reduce these costs!

I needed to exercise more control over what I’ve been printing. It was truly amazing how much extra stuff I was printing that I didn’t really need! For example I would automatically print out a whole article or manual when I only needed a few pages.

Even after scrutinizing what I was printing, I was still tossing a lot of paper in the trash. I realized that I could reuse this paper by simply striking a line thru the text, turning it over and putting it back in the paper tray. This works for me since most of the printing I do is for my own use. I found that I could also reduce the quality of the copies I was making for most of my prints. Since I was the only one looking a this stuff, why not save a little toner in the process? To make that easier to accomplish, I simply installed my printer driver a second time and set it up to print on the lowest quality. Now when I want to print a low quality draft, I only need select the proper printer and the rest is taken care of for me.

I am not really that mechanically inclined so I have been reluctant to try to refill my own laser cartridges, but I decided to try it out anyway. I went online and bought a kit for my printer. I also had to buy a tool kit since my cartridge has to have a hole drilled into it to put the toner into. Now I was getting stressed, I didn’t realize I was going to need to modify the laser cartridge! The kit finally came in the mail. I also got a new new spare just in case my refill efforts failed. The guidelines were excellent and I discovered that even I was able to comprehend and execute the procedures. Long story short, I got the refilled laser cartridge to operate. It cost me under half of what the new one cost me and I’ve adequate toner left over to fill it again. This is really likely to save me some huge cash!

If you watch what you print, recycle a little and refill your own cartridges, you can save some serious money on your printing supplies!

Replacement laser cartridges for your laser printers or copiers are generally available from quite a few manufacturers. Whenever you shop for that replacement cartridge you basically have a choice between 3 different alternatives. It is possible to make an effort to refill it your self, you possibly can pay for a refurbished laser cartridge or you can obtain a brand-new cartridge.

If you would like to try and refill it yourself you will have to have a toner replacement kit. These kits are extensively available online and are distinct to your particular printers’ make and model. You may perhaps also need a tool kit to perform this replacement and sometimes you might also have to replace a chip about the cartridge itself. Although you can probably save the most amount of $$$ using this approach, you might not constantly be successful in your refill attempt, especially if there is a chip replacement involved. If you ever choose this option make sure you purchase your kit from a business that offers cost-free telephone support, should you require it.

You can also conserve cash over the cost of a fresh laser cartridge by buying one that has been refurbished and refilled. Not only does the corporation exchange the toner, they also inspect the laser cartridge for defects and substitute specific moving parts as needed, for instance the wiper blade. To be safe, ensure the corporation you buy from does their own testing of their products following the refurbishment. You will want to see if they test for the number of pages printed on a single laser cartridge. You will also want to review their quality and leak test results.

You can also get brand new laser cartridges from two different sources. The most obvious source is the original maker of your printer or copier. They will sell you new cartridges made specifically to your printers specifications. You can also obtain new laser cartridges from other companies. This class of cartridge is called ‘compatible’ which basically means they will work in your printer.

You can have excellent results no matter what type of replacement alternative you choose. Just make sure that the company you buy your replacements from tests and stands behind their products.
